وزیر ارتباطات: اعلام اسامی فیلترشکن‌فروش‌ها در حوزه ماموریت وزارت ارتباطات نیست

The Minister of Communications and Communication Technology emphasized that announcing the names of those selling anti-filtering software is not within the scope of the Ministry of Communications’ mission.
Sattar Hashemi, in response to the question of why he did not introduce anti-filtering software, stated on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting in the presence of reporters: “The mission of the Ministry of Communications is not to announce anti-filtering software sales. The estimation of the amount of anti-filtering software sales is also based on field surveys, and based on these surveys, we have announced the number of anti-filtering software sales, and if these people are identified, the relevant institutions will naturally intervene in this regard.”

He also stated about the possibility of removing filters from other platforms: “The plan that was approved by the Supreme Council of Cyberspace to remove filters has continued and is on the agenda. Following up on these issues is based on expert discussions and a common language. Our effort is to follow the path that we think is right.”
Hashemi also said about the number of Iranian Starling users: "The announced statistics are estimates and speculation, but we are using the capacity of modern technologies based on international laws. They must recognize our territorial rights. Now we are using satellite capacity and telecommunications facilities for inaccessible areas."
